I wonder if the other ones in the litter were "getya jail time" ..

I dont mind their racing names as long as their kennel names are bearable.   My boy is "henry" now lets just say I look awful funny screaming GO HENRY, when there are spectators looking at their programs probably thinking "who the hell is Henry" lol.

My Hudsy, I now call him Hudson since he's retired and a teeny bit more settled, official name is Hudson Brawl. He was named after a friend of Herbie Legg's who was in a bar brawl in Hudson, CO.

I do the same thing ALL THE TIME. Count Ivan's name is "Sam"... and all kinds of derivitives... "Sammy" "Big Sam" "BigFella"... so, when he's running, I catch myself all the time, "C'mon, Sammy... get it goin' big fella...!!!!"

Chestercopperpot goes by Chester, or I should say he DID until Diego, one of the guys that works for me, bent over to pick something up in the turn-out pen and Chester mounted him and started going to town for all he was worth.

So, naturally now he's Chester the Molester, and I MAY have been overheard last night urging him on with a "c'mon, Mo-Lester!"

Last night after I shut down my computer I thought of another "what were they thinking" name. A few years ago we placed a girl named "Brain Cramp". I was having one at the time, that's why I all of a sudden remembered her. smile.gif

I had a labrador I named Hooker, we called her Hook. My sister-in-law borrowed her for a 2 week beach vacation. Hook was playing in the water on the beach when my sister-in-law opened the door to the mobile home and yelled, "Hooker come here!" The look on the faces of the 2 twenty year old girls walking down the beach at that time was priceless.

A couple of decades ago, Jablonowski had a greyhound racing at Phoenix by the name of Esso B.

It was always fun to hear the announcer yell at the far turn: "And here comes that Esso B!!"
